Whether you work in business or development, being able to speak Spanish would give you the competitive edge that will set you apart from your peers. Many emerging markets--Mexico, Peru, and Argentina, to name a few--use Spanish as their official language. With the biggest business opportunities existing in these countries, knowing to speak Spanish would certainly increase the likelihood of you establishing strong networks and successfully closing deals. If you work in the development sector, speaking Spanish would definitely help you build rapport with the people at the grassroot level, who'd most definitely open up to you if you can speak their native language.
But whatever your reason to speak Spanish, be it for traveling, for learning purposes, to get the competitive edge in this global era, or simply to for personal pleasure, you need the best tool that can help you learn the language as fast as possible!
Rocket Spanish
Rocket Spanish has been designed to primarily teach you “real” everyday Spanish, which you can use in conversation. It doesn’t spend much time teaching grammar, and more advanced aspects of the language. It is a comprehensive multimedia course which includes 12 hours of lessons. The audio lessons accompany the two course books, and there’s also two software programs called megavocab and mega audio. Rocket Spanish features advanced learning techniques, which were created by a university psychologist to help people learn information faster. These techniques allow people to learn new languages in up to one third of the time it would normally take. The best part? It is very affordable.
Rosetta Stone
Rosetta Stone is the biggest competitor for Rocket Spanish. Rosetta
Stone is not necessarily bad, I'm just saying that you would spend 4
times the price of Rocket Spanish, for relatively the same quality of education. Furthermore, to me it appears as if Rosetta Stone assumed that you already knew a little bit of
Spanish. With Rocket Spanish, you will start with Spanish one, and work
your way up until you can speak Spanish fluently and easily.
Pimsleur
The next competitor in line is the Pimsleur course. With Pimsleaur,
you will have 100 audio courses, consisting of about 20 minutes each..
This is 2,000 minutes of learning. There are two disadvantages to this
program. The first disadvantage is the price. At over 9 times the price
of Rocket Spanish, it will quickly burn a hole in your pocket. The next
disadvantage of the Pimsleur course is that it is all audio.
Personally, I am a visual learner, and I couldn't concentrate through
TWO THOUSAND minutes of audio learning.
Overall you can see that Rocket Spanish has defeated the competitors in every aspect of learning to speak the Spanish language. With a small fraction of the price, and the capability to learn Spanish from day 1, Rocket Spanish is clearly the best option if you want to learn Spanish online.
